This vehicle having the British number plate CPC 748 had been registered for the first time on January 19th 1935 (according to the Vehicle Registration Book Nr. E 973928), back than still being a “Saloon”. As a matter of fact, this 16/80 type is extremely rare as it had only been built 260 times.
In the 60s, the car got its todays´Open Tourer chassis, as stated in its registration document dated May 5th 1969. Its engine is a 6-cylinders ohv, no. 3082.
That Lagonda is equipped with a preselection Wilson transmission system which was available in the later building years alternatively to the conventional transmission.
